Cochin the younger redesigned the original sketches made by Oudry in 1729-1734, etched many plates and directed the work of 42 engravers. The first engraving for "Le singe et le léopard," v. 3, p. 113, has the banner without "Le Léopard." Woodcut title vignette and head- and tailpieces by Le Sueur and Papillon after Bachelier.
