Summary: 

Print shows a man and a women standing together on a terrace at the head of a flight of stone steps; the man, who is is dressed in an 18th century officer's uniform, gestures with a slender cane towards something in the distance at left, as the woman, who is dressed in a layered, "polonaise" gown with a beribboned, high-crowned hat, holds his arm and looks in the direction he has pointed; other figures in similar dress crowd the terrace behind the couple in the background at right.
