With text below recounting the heroic conduct of a sous-officier named Bonisselle who retrieved the body of his father from the battlefield at Ferrara, July 29, 1799.
According to La Combe, this lithograph was printed between July 1820 and September 1822 by Motte and produced for "Fastes de la Nation français" (a type of publication outlining heroic deeds of ordinary French people) published by Decrouan.
