Thirty lathe-turned counters, fifteen in ebony, and fifteen in ivory, dyed red. Each decorated on both sides equalling sixty different intricate patterns, similar to those depicted in the plates of Handbook of turning.
Binding:
In original wooden box with inlaid, circular motifs at each corner of the lid, hinged. Lined with blue velvet, it has two trays that lift out (15.2 x 24.4 x 4.4 cm).
