Caption text reads: The above woodcut was executed by Thomas Bewick for H. N. Reay, Esq., and was used as an illustration for that gentleman's "Sportsman's friend," Newcastle, 1801. It is printed from a stereotype belonging to the Rev. Thomas Hugo, taken from the original wood block in his possession.
