Responsibilities:
The Morgan Library & Museum has a part-time opening for a Visitor Services Assistant. The Visitor Services Assistant (VSA) will provide museum patrons with a general introduction and orientation to the Morgan Library & Museum. The VSA will scan admission tickets and/or collect fees and manage the flow of patrons throughout the museum and provide Coat Room service to visitors by checking and returning bags and garments. The VSA will sell tickets to programs and events. The VSA will provide information and answer questions related to museum exhibits and membership and assist with new enrollment or membership renewal. The VSA will also answer telephones and provide information to callers or direct calls, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience especially, in museums or similar attractions
- Excellent communication skills
- Facility with computers use including Windows based operating systems
- Ability to work weekends and/or evening hours
- Ability to lift, move boxes of materials and/or stanchions (25 pounds)
