Notes:
A tripartite friendship or lover's ring, with clasped hands interlacing on the outer rings and paired hearts on the central ring which is inscribed. When worn, the ring conceals the inscription, and the hearts are invisible beneath the clasped hands.

Inscription on flat surface of central ring: "NOEL BYRON FROM MY DEAR SISTER AUGUSTA".

Part of a small group in the personal collection of Leigh Hunt, inherited by his youngest daughter and last surviving child, Jacinta Shelley Leigh Hunt (Mrs. Cheltnam); Mrs. John Markoe; by whom given to J.P. Morgan, Jr., 1930.
