Subtitle: Abraham Lincoln, Hannibal Hamlin, and the Senators and Representatives who voted "AYE" on the resolution submitting to the legislatures of the several states a proposition to amend the constitution of the United States so as to prohibit slavery. Passed in the Senate April 8, 1864. Passed in the House of Representatives January 31, 1865. Description: A circular photomontage with portraits of the 159 legislators who voted in favor of the abolishment of slavery. Hannibal Hamlin's portrait is shown larger at the top of the photomontage and Abraham Lincoln's is shown larger at the bottom.
