Formerly housed in a morocco pull-off box by Bradstreet's with Alexander Neubauer's bookplate. Box retained.

Summary: 

Six sentences, written by Joyce in pencil, from the first draft of the eleventh episode (the so-called "Sirens" episode) of Ulysses. Text begins: "By Bachelor's walk jogjingle jaunted Blazes Boylan, bachelor." and concludes: "Haw haw horn." Text is followed by an added note signed by Frank Budgen: "Zürich 1918 (or 1919?) The above words in Joyce's handwriting are from the Sirens episode of Ulysses."
