Print shows Eliza Farren (left) as Almeida, and Bensley as Omar (right), in "The Fair Circassian" facing each other in profile. She bends towards him, clasping her hands; he stands erect holding out his right hand towards her. He holds in his left hand the end of a chain which is attached to his right wrist. Almeida's body from the waist upwards is not attached to her voluminous petticoats. Omar has a beard, he wears a feathered hat or turban and an ermine-bordered robe over a tunic. In this state, a detached eye, representing Bensley's right eye, has been added to the left of his profile. Cf. George.
