Ass loaded with church preferments
Print shows an ass with the face of John Lynche, dean of Canterbury and son-in-law of William Wake, Archbishop of Canterbury, who is portrayed as the driver of the ass with a whip in one hand and a large book in the other. The ass's pack is lettered "Sine-cure of Bray" and its panniers are loaded with papers labelled with the names of the many offices that Lynch held. Beside the ass, a curate in clothing suggestive of poverty kneels, doffing his hat.
