Summary: 

Engraved diagram representing the life of Christ in the form of a tree and evidently based on the thirteenth-century Lignum vitae of St. Bonaventure; with the crucified Christ shown on the central trunk of a tree made up of branches carrying circular "leaves" with Latin inscriptions relating to Christ's life, Passion, and Resurrection. The base of the tree is flanked by the figures of St. Bonaventura at left and St. Francis at right.
