Mentioning that Voltaire won't publish his statement without the comte d'Argental's approval, and asking if he deems appropriate that Voltaire write to the cardinal Fleury. Discussing Voltaire's trip to Paris, the lawsuit, and St Hiacinte and noting that the affair with Tiriot is subsiding.
