Hand decoration: Contemporary northern Italian (Venice?) illumination with foliate and fictive jewel borders (leaves a1r, A1r, E5r, aa1r, and ll12r), illuminated and historiated major initials, and alternating red (printed) and blue lombards with filigree penwork decoration; penwork decoration by Antonio Maria da Villafora (initials likely by another artist). Camaldolese armorial: chalice flanked by 2 doves, surmounted by a bishop's crozier and mitre (leaf a1r); depictions of a monk-saint, probably Romauld (initial, leaf a1r), David (leaf A1r), God the Father (leaf E5r), St. Andrew (leaf aa1r), and unidentified saint (leaf ll12r). Annotations: A few contemporary marginal notations in light brown ink sporadically throughout. Additions to calendar: St. Joseph (husband), 19 March, "Sci ioseph sponsi dne nre" and St. Peter Martyr, 29 April, "Sci petri m."
