16th-century German blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards (29 x 20 cm.), sewn on 4 supports. Modern plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves; decorative endbands.

Inscriptions/Markings:

Hand decoration: Rubricated, alternating red and blue lombards, major initials with penwork flourishing, and paragraph marks. Annotations: Marginal NB marks and manicules sporadically throughout. Additional quire at end with manuscript index by Muller, "Finis Inventarii Instrumenti Novi Anno 1480 die b[ea]ti Zoili [27 June] In bad[e]n." Manuscript chart on final leaf showing divisions of Old and New Testament and number of chapters per book, 16th century.
