Binding: 
16th-century Austrian(?) blind-rolled pigskin over reverse-beveled wooden boards (30.4 x 21 cm), on 4 double bands. Stamping includes Virtue roll: "SPES," "FIDES," "IVSTICI," and "CARITAS" (not in Haebler or EBDB). Central stamp with Melk Abbey coat-of-arms and inscription "ILAMS," stained black. Two clasps with dart catchplates, wanting. Primary wound endbands. Plain paper pastedown at rear, bare wood in front; edges stained red.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: rubrication and music unrealized. Annotations: "Fol: 1." on leaf [1]/7r and minimal contemporary notations on leaf [1]/11. Ink inscriptions on top board smudged and illegible. Parchment tabs sewn onto 3 folios.
