In D♭, for high voice and piano.
Sullivan composed his song to the Italian text of G. Mazzucato for performance in A.W. Pinero's play, The profligate; it is given in an English version here.
With the exception of the absence of the phrase "sung by Mr. Avon Saxon in The profligate," the text of title and statement of responsibility on t.p., as well as t.p. fonts, borders, and layout, are identical to those of Chappell publications; however, t.p. imprint, as well as all legal statements, etc. are missing, and the caption and music are set in different fonts from those in the Chappell publications. Apparently a Chappell proof.
