Signed in monogram and dated upper left (by Rembrandt?), "RHL 1631" (in state II).

No margins; trimmed within the platemark.
One of three impressions of state IV in the Library (see RvR 208 & RvR 210).
The black spot at the point of the nose (some burr, which was not removed after the nose had been shortened), has disappeared. The plate is completely retouched.
The etching also bears a small drystamp, the letters D in D.
