The nobility, gentry, and the public are most respectfully acquainted, that, the grand performances of antient and modern music, will commence on January 30th next, and be continued in the above theatre, on the usual Wednesdays and Fridays in Lent, under the management of Sir George Smart. A new and splendid orchestra ... and the new organ, built for the theatre by Mr. Bishop, will be used for these performances."
Principal vocal performers: Miss Paton, Miss Love, Miss Goward, Miss H. Cawse, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Horncastle, Mr. Tinney, Mr. Robinson, Master Barker, Mr. Braham, and Miss Stephens.
"Between the first and second parts, a concerto on the violoncello by Mr. W. Lindley. Lindley [Collins?]. The band will be numerous and complete in every department, leader, Mr. Mori." Choral performers include members of His Majesty's Chapel Royal, and St. Paul's Cathedral.
