Written in tête-bêche: 10 leaves of diary from one direction and 26 leaves of language exercises from the other. A number of pages are torn out in the middle.
One of three Sullivan diaries at the Morgan together with the Vienna diary, 1867, and the American diary, 1875-1880. All other volumes are located in the Beinecke Library, Yale University.
