Folios 1 recto through 8 recto contain journal entries from his trip to Vienna and Prague, anecdotes, and a description of the "Rosamunde" music; the other leaves (folios 8 verso through 58 verso) are blank.
One of three Sullivan diaries at the Morgan together with the Leipzig diary, 1858, and the American diary, 1875-1880. All other volumes are located in the Beinecke Library, Yale University.
