Clara Schumann played Beethoven's Piano Sonata in A, op. 101; Robert Schumann's Carnaval; Brahms's Piano Quartet no. 1 in G minor, op. 25 (first performance, with J. Böie, F. Breyther, and L. Lee); and, with Brahms, Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D, K. 448.
The other works on the program were six of Brahms's songs for women's chorus, performed by the Hamburg Frauenchor.
