Ms. probably written and illuminated in Kashmir in the second quarter of the eighteenth century.
Written in Arabic with a Persian interlinear translation.
Decoration: Arabic text written on a gold background; important words and textual divisions in red; Persian translation in red and blue; pages ruled in black, orange, green, gold, and light blue; outer rulings in gold and black, separated by a narrow band of gold floral sprays and four-petal rosettes in gold; gold panels on fol. 34-40; 8 double page illuminations in pale blue (fol. 1v-2, 44v-45, 92v-93, 138v-139, 182v-183, 239v-240, 276v-277, and 336v-337); the principal border either has large projecting ornaments centered on the four sides with smaller ogival forms between them, or stylized cloud bands, continuous crenellation, and a running border of broad arabesques; whitish blue background.
