Arms of first owner, the Guyot d'Anfreville family: azure a chevron argent, between three staff-pommels (?) or, with the motto: patior immerito and the initial R; Lancelot Holland sale (London, July 23, 1860, no. 1954) to Toovey; purchased by J.P. Morgan (1867-1943) from Quaritch in 1920.

Artist: by an unidentified artist and Robert Boyvin, to whom the small suffrage miniatures beginning at fol. 192 have been attributed.
Decoration: 21 large miniatures, 26 small miniatures, 24 calendar illustrations.
