Decoration: 2 full-page miniatures (fol. 29v - the sanctuary of the Ka?ba; fol. 30 - the mosque at Medina including the 3 graves of Muhammad, Abu Bakr, and Umar), 14 illuminated title pages with headpieces (7 double page illuminated openings); each text page has center text framed with illuminated floral border, with illuminated motifs set into the surrounding translation.
The Arabic text is surrounded by a Persian translation in the border; some of the translation is written in nastaʻlīq.
Binding: 19th-century lacquer painting over pasteboard, floral sprays, floral and geometrical borders; lacquer-painted doublures with large palmette on red background, framed in floral and geometric borders, in red cloth folding case.
