Decoration: 1 large miniature (fol. 154, depicting lovers embracing within a tent, 2 figures conversing in an adjoining tent, set into a landscape beside a running brook); 1 illuminated double-page opening (fols. 1v-2) with an illuminated headpiece, an illuminated panel, and 2 3-sided illuminated borders with floral designs in gold and colors.
Binding: 19th-century Persian lacquer painting over pasteboards with floral border on black ground; central panels have delicate floral patterns in gold on red ground; large center scalloped medallions each have flower and leaf clusters and an upside-down bird, small scalloped medallions above and below have only flowers and leaves, all on black ground; black lacquer painted doublures, delicate gold motifs on black ground. In simulated wood slipcase.
