Coat of arms in the lower border of folio 17: three bends sinister white and or; Crest: helmet argent with 6 feathers gules and white; atop a crown or from which issues a dragon head argent facing right; Joshua Montgomery Sears (d.1906); Sarah Bradley; purchased from Sarah Bradley on the Fellows Fund, with special assistance of Mrs. Alexandre Rosenberg and Mr. Henry Glazier, in memory of William S. Glazier in 1993.

Ms. book of hours, use of Rome (Hours of the Virgin); written and illuminated in Northern Italy, possibly the Veneto, 1425-1450.
Decoration: 13 full-page miniatures, 13 historiated initials, 13 full borders with historiated vignettes. [A rare use of scorpion images in the miniature introducing the Penitential Psalms.]
