Ms. dial type bookmark; probably of Cistercian origin and written in the 15th century.
Vellum leaf folded in half, with dial 62 mm in diameter sewn between.
Text: inscribed: pr' mensa lectionis: columpna; prima, secunda, tercia quarta; the inscriptions served to mark the place where a codex should be opened, and the number of the column where the reading was to begin.
