According to the colophon on fol. 308, the manuscript was written for Stephen, Voivode (Prince) of Moldavia (d. 1504); the manuscript was in Russia during the 17th century, where flyleaves were added and manuscript placed in its present binding; purchased from Mrs. J.M. Makohin in October 1925.
