Notes: 

Hinchcliff's name and the date "Oct. 1st 1835" appears in calligraphic script on the verso of the front flyleaf, along with a note in pencil: "It is requested that not any prose be inserted."
Contributed to by numerous men and women of Hinchcliff's acquaintance, many whom add a date, place of writing, and their initials. Places of writing in the album include Islington, Highgate, and Cambridge.
Some pages include a penciled note indicating that a painting was intended to be added there.
