Contract signed in the Apostolic Palace in Monte Cavallo on 15 May 1732 between Duke Nicolaus de Benedictis, Prince of Umbriano, and Pope Clement XII, to transfer the few inhabitants of Umbriano to the more populated town of Precetto and to unite both territories under the name of Umbriano del Precetto, assuring that not only all the inhabitants but all the offices will be transferred in the same way they are in Umbriano so that the title of the of the principality of Umbriano can be created in Precetto and transferred there; also stipulating that the tilte of the principality with all the honors, privileges, and prerogatives is transferred to the Duke Nicolaus de Benedictis and his descendants, based on a previous contract of 23 September 1730; the contract was executed at the Palace of the Cardinal Chamberlain Albani (now, Palazzo del Drago) in the presence of Francesco Ubaldi and Francesco Bacci, and signed by Felice Franceschini, secretary and chancellor of the Apostolic Chamber.
