Part of a collection of telegrams and letters from J. Pierpont Morgan to Dr. William W. Baldwin between 1904 and 1910 (MA 8739.1-14). This collection is part of a much larger collection of letters to Dr. Baldwin from authors, English royalty and other luminaries of the period including Henry James, Samuel Clemens, William Dean Howells, Sarah Orne Jewett, Henry Cabot Lodge, Booth Tarkington, Edith Wharton and Constance Fenimore Woolson. Concerning his visit; saying "Shall be delighted to see you at any time Shall be out of the city after the twenty fourth for four or five days / J.P. Morgan".
