Writing to accept the terms offered by Boni for the publication of his biography of Ambrose Bierce and describing his work on the book, noting that has been sent of a copy of C. Hartley Grattan's book on Bierce for review, remarking on the book's lack of substance, and stating that he is to review Danziger De Castro's biography of Bierce as well; describing, in confidence, the importance of the Bierce letters held by the Huntington Library where he has just finished his research.
