Discussing her efforts to publish her memoir, White Tower, in the United States; mentioning that a Princeton professor named Bernice Kert came to Venice to talk to her about a book on Ernest Hemingway's women; noting that [Valerio] Zurlini is starting a film of [Hemingway's] Across the River; remarking that a friend of hers sent the manuscript of White Tower to Jonathan Galassi at Houghton Mifflin, but that he did not think it would sell well enough to be a viable project.
