Sending "some letters which I believe will fetch a good sum"; listing the writers of the letters, including [Wallace?] Stevens, H[enry] Miller, K[atherine] A[nne] Porter, Elizabeth Bishop, Mark Rothko, and [Joan] Miró; telling him, "pick the one you like of your adorable Bishop and consider it an insufficient token of my gratitude"; noting that he might take a trip to Spain and Switzerland "if the letters get a big sum"; advising him not to send his book by mail but to "send it to Johnetta who will bring it in one of her trips or give it to someone who comes to Cuba."
