With manuscript notes on the verso that are probably in the hand of Rodríguez Feo.
Part of a collection of letters to José Rodríguez Feo, a Cuban who edited the magazine Orígenes in the 1940s and 50s. Letters in the collection are described in individual records; see MA 5659 for more information.
Sending him "the manuscript of an essay which will appear in The Virginia Quarterly Review in April" in case he wants to translate it for Orígenes; noting that he asked his publisher to send Rodríguez Feo a copy of his recent book, The Winter Sea; mentioning that he would like "to publish a short anthology of Cuban poetry with the Spanish and English texts parallel"; asking him to "get together a half dozen of the best Cuban lyrics and accompany them with brief biographical sketches."
