Thanking him for "sending me [René] Portocarrero, who brought me some very interesting paintings"; mentioning that Andre Breton and Julien Levy are coming to see them, and "Peggy Guggenheim was down last week, as were [Charles Henri] Ford and [Parker] Tyler of VIEW"; also thanking him for the most recent number of Orígenes; discussing his objections to the claim "that Latin America has the same kind of civilization as Europe and America"; adding, "I should be delighted to have atomic warfare here, so all signs of civilization 'as we know it' could be destroyed. Then perhaps Latin America could really get somewhere, via the pineal eye."
