Part of a collection of letters to José Rodríguez Feo, a Cuban who edited the magazine Orígenes in the 1940s and 50s. Letters in the collection are described in individual records; see MA 5659 for more information.

Summary: 

Noting that he has been in Southampton for the past two months and has worked quite a bit; writing that he does not have time to translate a book for Ramon Sender and wonders if Rodríguez Feo would be interested in doing it instead; adding, "I know you are extremely difficult in your tastes"; telling him he is happy to hear he is coming to New York; giving his telephone number and address; asking him to "bring a little exotic perfume" with him: "You know I collect odors and there are none of any interest here"; telling him that the League of Composers asked for Rodríguez Feo's address and he sent it to them.
