Reporting that Alcorn lifted the restriction even though "the thief was not discovered"; explaining that sixty-six dollars was stolen from a man named Nelson who had just been discharged; adding that they "made up a collection of twenty-five dollars" to help Nelson get back to North Dakota; telling her that Noel Hemendinger and Nat Goldstein have been commissioned; hoping she can get "some good-looking clothes to fit" her while she is pregnant; asking her to send him "the book on easy ways to get a high I.Q."
