Summary: 

Telling her that "the package from Macy's came today ... and it was fine and not at all silly"; explaining that he hasn't written many letters lately because "there's so little news" and he is out of envelopes; commenting on a man who "pulled an unsuccessful nervous break-down on the hospital authorities"; noting that "an order ... came through ... enforcing bed-check which means that everyone will have to spend at least four nights a week in camp. This is going to be tough on that domesticated half of the platoon that has set up little menages in town"; describing "the enlisted man's Thanksgiving"; discussing a picture and a negative he is sending to her.
