On letterhead of the Department of English at the University of Leicester.
This letter was obviously written after MA 5142.52 (a typed letter signed from Fraser to Moore that is dated 1968 Dec. 12) because Fraser is following up on his offer to contact the Byron Press about publishing Moore's poems.
This item is part of a collection of autograph letters and manuscripts of war poetry primarily related to World War II.
Enclosing a letter from John Lucas at the Byron Press "which sounds very hopeful about a pamphlet of [Moore's] poems soon, and a volume rather later"; making suggestions about what poems to include and offering to write a preface; advising him to include "brief prose notes on who some of the characters are"; asking if he may send Moore's letter "to the National Library of Scotland,, which is collecting all [his] proofs, rough drafts, and literary correspondence"; sending him "a little piece on [Percy Bysshe] Shelley."
