A Kodacolor Print on Kodak paper.
This photograph probably documents the Philadelphia Zoo's trumpeter swans, and was likely enclosed with a second snapshot (MA 3851.16) in a letter to E. B. White.
"One ducks for a tidbit as tother awaits the toss of a peanut. And the ducks high-tailing to get into the act" penned in the hand of Howard Cushman on the verso of the photograph.
A snapshot of two trumpeter swans, one ducking its head below the water, at the edge of a man-made pond, and with several ducks swimming towards them.
