Summary: 

Seeking his approval on her project about the bailiff of Froulay, and discussing Voltaire at length. Asking him to tell Voltaire to make his trip short and mentioning he will likely finish his Essai sur la philosophie de Newton. Worrying about Voltaire's health and suggesting he works too much, saying she is happy he did not stay in Brussels but went to Amsterdam immediately. Telling him Voltaire should remain incognito and mentioning that he will likely spend the winter in Holland. Informing him that they are publishing a series of misleading information about Voltaire in the "gazette de Hollande" (Gazette d'Amsterdam). Criticizing the way the government is dealing with Voltaire, and mentioning a letter in which Mme. de Richelieu condemns Voltaire's decision to go to Prussia and regrets Emily's mistrust.
