Requiring the four men to stand before the congregation of Ely on "the xxxth daie of Marche next comminge" (30 March 1595) and confess to their sins. Daniell Lardge is obliged confess "I did harbor Joane Andrewe, alias Vertue Andersonn, in my howse, she being delivered of child there" (see MA 665.4); Henrie Barker is obliged to confess "I did plaie at Cardes uppon the Sabboth daie in Evening praire time;" and Robert Stennell and William Ffowler are obliged to confess that "we did abuse our in drinck uppon the Sabboth daie."
