Apologizing for his last letter in which he mistakenly added an autograph note addressed to "my love"; blaming the mistake on the "weakness of human nature and the imbecility of this superannuated representative of it"; discussing the volumes of [George] Darley and [Thomas Lovell] Beddoes that Turner loaned to him; mentioning a letter Turned received from Algernon Blackwood; congratulating him on the dedication of "The Fortunate Lady" [by Frank Swinnerton].
