"7/30/96" - in ink on verso of all three sheets with artist's signature. The New Yorker barcode sticker on verso of cartoon: A1879. Note in pencil on verso of cartoon "Black issue". Third sheet with formula caption says "Source - Coulomb wave function formula".

Summary: 

Four scientists working in a lab, one is a black man. The three white scientists are thinking about various hot button racial topics, while the black scientist is thinking of a math formula.
