Numerous items have been removed to a folder, filed in Misc Ray (Smallfield). Included are a letter from Henry Blackburn to Smallfield, 1877 Feb. 21, with a small engraving attached; letter from Henry [Davidson?], 1870 Apr. 25; letter from Francis Powell, 1912 Jan. 28, with env.; a carte-de-visite of Alfred Stevens; a cabinet card with a print of William Makepeace Thackeray; five unidentified etchings; a photograph of Sara Davies, 1911 Dec. 22, with an autograph note signed on the verso (in Italian); and three photographs of unidentified portraits.
Bound with 32 photographic portraits of William Henry Hunt, Charles Samuel Keene, Matthew J. Lawless, Alfred Pizzey Newton, Edwin Wensley Russell, Telemaco Signorini, Frederick Walker, and many unidentified sitters (MA 7361.23-54).

An album compiled by English artist Frederick Smallfield that includes drawings, photographs, letters, and printed ephemera. Many of the artists represented were part of the St. John's Wood Clique, an informal group of artists based in St. John's Wood, London, ca. 1863-1890. Artists in the volume include Henry Hugh Armstead, Philip Hermogenes Calderon, Charles Cattermole, John Aster Fitzgerald, John Evan Hodgson, William Henry Hunt, Edward Killingworth Johnson, Charles Samuel Keene, Matthew J. Lawless, Henry Stacy Marks, Matthew Somerville Morgan, Alfred Pizzey Newton, Edwin Wensley Russell, Telemaco Signorini, Frederick Walker, and several unidentified artists.
