Summary:
A manuscript with a German title (translated above) and the words "Ex Fundatione Josephina" at foot of title page; title page and section dividers are elaborate printed engravings with manuscript titles added. Most pages are blank, but following each section divider (each of which represents a different school in Vienna), there are 1-10 p. of manuscript notes, mainly consisting of lists of names.

Elaborately tooled and painted leather with several detailed scenes on upper and lower covers, two metal clasps, all edges gilt, elaborate gold and painted endpapers, and 21 vellum page markers.

Armorial bookplate of the Princes of Liechtenstein ("Ex Libris Liechtensteinianis"), possibly of Prince Franz Josef II; with a note from Walter Schatzki; marked "Go. Gase Bennett 1973"; bookplate of Julia P. Wightman.
