Notes:
When acquired, item was arranged in paper sleeves, some with chapter headings in Burroughs' hand and some with notes in Barrus' hand. With an additional note in Barrus' hand indicating that the manuscript was "Found at Slabsides, 1915, badly ... mixed up, not arranged in order." Item has been kept as arranged by Burroughs and Barrus, and pages may be out of order. Some of the manuscript is as prepared for the printers, with several sections of unclassified pages. Edits and emendations in blue pencil throughout.

Loose sheets, placed in white paper folders and labelled by Burroughs; in cloth folder in dark blue 1/2 morocco box-case.
