Album contains materials primarily related to Thackeray's 1852 visit to the United States, including two specimens of spirit writing (New York, 1852), two telegrams from Smith & Noxon inviting Thackeray to give a lecture series in Cincinnati, several related newspaper clippings, five letters to Thackeray, and one letter written on the occasion of Thackerays death, possibly to Anne Thackeray Ritchie.
